Composite (Tooth-Colored) Fillings

Composite fillings are primarily a restorative procedure, but they also provide many of the same benefits as cosmetic dentistry treatments. They may be small, but they’ll make a BIG difference in the appearance of your smile!

Composite fillings are made out of a mixture of glass and composite materials that blends in with the rest of your tooth, creating a more natural-looking restoration than traditional amalgam (silver) fillings. Composite fillings can be bonded directly to the surface of your tooth, which means they require less drilling and preserve more healthy tooth structure than amalgam fillings.

Porcelain Crowns, Inlays & Onlays

Porcelain crowns are an excellent cosmetic dentistry solution for teeth that are damaged, misshapen or severely decayed. Crowns can be used alone or in conjunction with fixed dental bridges and dental implants.

Like most cosmetic dentistry procedures, crowns are a relatively small procedure but their impact on your smile can be dramatic. They usually require two appointments: the first to make a mold of your damaged tooth, and the second to place and polish your custom-made restoration. Dr. Recigno takes extra care during this second appointment to ensure that your new crown perfectly matches your other healthy teeth and feels comfortable and natural in your mouth.

Like crowns and fillings, porcelain inlays and onlays are a restorative procedure with amazing cosmetic benefits for your smile. Inlays and onlays are created in a dental lab like crowns, then shipped to our office where Dr. Recigno will bond, shape and polish the restoration for a perfect fit.

With all cosmetic dentistry procedures, the final stage requires the greatest skill and the most artistic eye. Whether he’s placing a filling, crown, inlay or onlay, Dr. Recigno’s goal is to make your restorations as subtle and natural as possible.
